Your agreement with us
These terms (the "Terms") govern your use of Sortlumo (the "Service"), operated by Click Web Studios ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you're using Sortlumo on behalf of a household or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that household or organization to these Terms.
- 02
What Sortlumo does
Sortlumo lets you upload bank or credit-card statement PDFs and turns them into categorized, searchable transactions, with subscription detection and Excel export. Specific limits (parses per month, accounts, included features) depend on the plan you're on — see the current pricing page.
We never link to your bank. We never ask for, store, or transmit your banking credentials.
- 03
Your account
You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. That means:
- Keeping your password secret and using a strong, unique one.
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Providing accurate information when you sign up and keeping your email address current so we can reach you about security and billing.
You can delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how.
- 04
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload statements that don't belong to you or that you don't have permission to process (e.g., someone else's bank PDF without their consent).
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service in a way that would burden our infrastructure or violate other users' privacy.
- Use the Service to violate any law or someone else's rights.
- Attempt to bypass plan limits (e.g., creating multiple free accounts to avoid paid quotas).
- Upload malware, phishing content, or anything designed to compromise our systems or other users.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice depending on severity.
- 05
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual). Charges are processed by Stripe in the currency shown at checkout.
- Cancellation— you can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You won't be charged again.
- Refunds— paid charges are generally non-refundable. If you think you've been charged in error or have a billing issue, message uswithin 14 days of the charge and we'll work it out.
- Price changes— if we change a plan's price, the new price applies to your next billing cycle. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
- Taxes — prices shown are exclusive of any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST, which will be added at checkout where required.
- Failed payments— if a renewal fails, we'll retry and email you. After repeated failures, access may be paused until billing is updated.

Your content and our content
Your content stays yours. The statements you upload, the transactions parsed from them, and any edits you make (including manual re-categorizations) belong to you. We claim no ownership of your data.
You grant us only the narrow license needed to operate the Service: to store, process, and display your content back to you, and to send parsed text to the third-party AI providers described in our Privacy Policy.
Our content stays ours. The Sortlumo name, logo, website, software, and underlying technology are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the Service for its intended purpose, but you don't get a license to our trademarks, source code, or design assets.
- 07
AI categorization and accuracy
Categorization is performed by an AI model and is offered on a "best effort" basis. It will sometimes get things wrong — a merchant misnamed, a category misassigned, a subscription missed. You can re-categorize any transaction in the dashboard and your override sticks.
Sortlumo is not financial, tax, or investment advice. The summaries, charts, and exports are tools to help you understand your spending. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for tax filings, loan applications, or other decisions where exactness matters — always cross-check against your original statements and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
- 08
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that categorization will be perfectly accurate.
- 09
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Sortlumo nor its operators will be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations — in those places, the limits apply to the maximum extent permitted.
- 10
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Sortlumo from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights — including uploading statements you don't have permission to process.
- 11
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We can also suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your account is used for fraud or abuse, or if we're required to do so by law.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will remain in effect.
- 12
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
- 13
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
We'd much rather resolve any issue informally — please contact us first. If a dispute can't be resolved that way, you and we agree to bring any claim exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, USA, and we both consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Nothing here limits any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your home country or state.
- 14
Miscellaneous
These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
You can't transfer or assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization.
Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of our right to do so later.
