Sortlumo vs Copilot

Sortlumo vs Copilot Money — honest comparison.

Copilot Money built a category-defining iOS app with bank-aggregator-powered transaction sync. Sortlumo doesn't compete with Copilot on real-time sync or on UI polish — we compete on the fundamental approach: you upload PDFs, we never see your banking credentials, and you own the data.

TL;DR Copilot is a beautiful, Apple-only app with real-time bank sync. Sortlumo is a privacy-first PDF converter that works on web and iOS. If you're an iPhone user who loves the polish and is OK linking accounts, Copilot is great. If you want to avoid bank aggregators or you're not all-Apple, pick Sortlumo.

FAQ

Common questions on this comparison.

Does Sortlumo have an iOS app like Copilot?

Yes. The Sortlumo iOS app is in TestFlight and the App Store, with the same upload, categorize, and export workflow as the web app, plus an offline-friendly view of your historical data.

Can I track stocks and brokerage accounts in Sortlumo?

Not yet. If brokerage statements are in PDF form (Schwab, Fidelity send them monthly), we can parse the dividends and transactions but not the holding-level portfolio view that Copilot offers.

Why is Sortlumo cheaper if it does less real-time work?

We don't pay aggregator fees (Plaid charges per linked account per month). That cost saving passes through to you.

Can I migrate from Copilot to Sortlumo?

Copilot exports CSV. We're adding CSV import next quarter. Today you can upload PDFs to rebuild your last several years of history.
